Ralston Middle School

Ralston Middle School educates students in the 6th through 8th grades in the Belmont/Redwood Shores SchoolMore District. As of fall 2010, six elementary schools feed into Ralston, four of which are in Belmont. Most students who graduate from Ralston attend Carlmont High School, which is part of the Sequoia Union High School District. Ralston Middle School has 46 classrooms, two music rooms, a multipurpose room, a gym, girls' and boys' locker rooms and administrative offices. Its library has seven computers with Internet access and each classroom is equipped with at least one computer with Internet access. The school's core curriculum includes language arts, math, science, history/social science, foreign language, health and visual and performing arts. Also, it offers a wide variety of after-school activities ranging from golf to homework tutorials.

Fox Elementary School is one of six elementary schools in the Belmont-Redwood Shores School District, and one of theMore four in Belmont. Ralston Middle School is the next step for most Fox graduates, which follows the same core curriculum as Fox – language arts, math, science, history/social science, foreign language, health and visual and performing arts. Parents may become involved in a number of activities, including healthy living week, horticulture, the Foxtravaganza Show and computer education. The average class size ranges from 20 to 28 students. The main buildings on campus – including 20 classrooms, a music room, the library, a multipurpose room and administrative officers – were built in 1964 and modernized in 2004. Brightly colored murals decorate the walls of the school, including a giant painting of a smiling fox and childrens' faces at the entrance.

Central Elementary School is one of six elementary schools in the Belmont-Redwood Shores School District, and one of theMore four in Belmont. Central Elementary feeds into Ralston Middle School, which follows the same core curriculum as Central - language arts, math, science, history/social science, foreign language, health, and visual and performing arts. Parents may become involved in activities such as the chess club, family social night, grandparents' day and the ice cream social. The campus includes 18 classrooms, a music room, library, learning center, computer lab, multipurpose room and administrative offices, which were built in 1964 and modernized in 2004. Two portable classroms were added to the campus in 1998. Dolphin Park, which has a playground, several benches and a dolphin-shaped fountain, is located at Central Elementary as well.
Carlmont High School

Carlmont High School is part of the Sequoia Union High School District and the only public high school in Belmont.More The school offers a variety of new buildings and state-of-the-art technology, including a remodeled Futures Center for college guidance, a library and student union.</p> <p>There are also new classrooms for science and social studies, a computer lab, new athletic fields and a 21,000-square-foot performing arts center. The school also offers more than 20 advanced standing and placement courses, and more than 95 percent of graduates attend college.</p>
