I invite Belmont to come to our play. This is not your boring high school Shakespeare. It's funny,…Read More witty, there's physical comedy, dancing, music, and it's all set on a Carribean Island in 2013! It's a fresh approach to this popular Shakespeare comedy. Even if you don't understand the language, you will still be able to easily follow the story. Please come support the arts in our community.
Thanks,
George Metropulos (Sir Toby Belch).

Now we have empty space at Barrett where 1870 Gallery was, and will turn the Manor building which was improved & cared for by local artists, into another empty space. Oh yeah, rent it out... that is NOT a "community" use. Belmont taxpayers purchased this property for the Belmont COMMUNITY... not as a real estate investment. We have lost our culture!

My movie-going youth was spent at the San Mateo Fox on 3rd Avenue, the Palm, before it became an…Read More adult movie theater, the Manor, both the San Carlos theaters, the one on Laurel had the most comfortable seats, the Burlingame Fox. So many of those had the ornate look of what old, great movie houses should have had. And so many used to have an actual clock on the wall! You don't see that much any more.
