Nesbit Elementary School is one of six elementary schools in the Belmont-Redwood Shores school district, and one of the four in Belmont. Nesbit Elementary feeds into Ralston Middle School, which follows the same core curriculum as Nesbit -- language arts, math, science, history/social science, foreign language, health and visual and performing arts. Parents may participate in a number of activities, including the discovery day program, Halloween festival, emergency preparedness and the book fair. Built in 1954, Nesbit has 21 classrooms, a library, media center, resource room, speech and language room, music room and multipurpose room. There are also five portable classrooms for preschool and after-school care, which were added to the campus in 1990.
