Fox Elementary School is one of six elementary schools in the Belmont-Redwood Shores School District, and one of the four in Belmont. Ralston Middle School is the next step for most Fox graduates, which follows the same core curriculum as Fox – language arts, math, science, history/social science, foreign language, health and visual and performing arts. Parents may become involved in a number of activities, including healthy living week, horticulture, the Foxtravaganza Show and computer education. The average class size ranges from 20 to 28 students. The main buildings on campus – including 20 classrooms, a music room, the library, a multipurpose room and administrative officers – were built in 1964 and modernized in 2004. Brightly colored murals decorate the walls of the school, including a giant painting of a smiling fox and childrens' faces at the entrance.
