7:30 p.m.  Regular Meeting of Belmont City Council, Belmont City Hall, One Twin Pines Lane. The council will consider a recommendation fro the Parks & Recreation Commission on a design alternative for the synthetic turf project at the Belmont Sports Complex.  

Wednesday, Oct. 9

Walk/Bike to School Day!
Leave the car keys behind and get an early start, because today is International Walk/Bike to School Day. Students throughout the Belmont-Redwood Shores School District will be participating in this annual event that gets kids and their parents moving. walking/biking/boarding to school.

7:00 p.m. Mango: Online Language Learning
Belmont Library, 1110 Alameda de las Pulgas
Learn how to access & use a free online language learning tool, set up an account, and begin to learn a language at home using Mango languages: ESL, Spanish, Chinese, French, Italian and many more.

Thursday, Oct. 10

4-6 p.m. Kidizens Drop-In Session at Belmont Location
Kidzens 1338 El Camino Real
We’ll be building an entire city from the ground up: houses, cars, businesses, and public buildings!  Our teachers will supervise and coordinate the session and provide some civic/historical background on various city processes, the Kidizens way!

Friday, Oct. 11

No School for BRSSD Students Friday, Oct 11th

On Friday, October 11, there will be no school for students in the Belmont-Redwood Shores School District.  Our teachers and administrators will be going to Oracle’s corporate convention center (generously donated by Oracle) to learn about and plan for our transition to the Common Core State Standards.

Dance. $10. A world premiere theatre performance of an original play written and directed by Notre Dame De Namur University Theatre Professor, R. Dutch Fritz,  adapted from the 1897, gothic horror novel DRACULA by Bram Stoker.
