Hikers, Bikers and Brewers Pitch in With Trail Improvements

Devil's Canyon Brewery teamed up with trail enthusiasts on December 10 to build hiking/biking trails on Water Dog Lake Loop.

On a sunny Saturday in December, a team of volunteers led by Belmont Parks and Recreation commissioner Kevin Sullivan, took a crash course in trail building and made some significant improvements to Water Dog Lake Loop.

In addition to being outdoor enthusiasts, most of the volunteers were fans of craft brews, and were recruited by Kristiann Garrett of Devil's Canyon Brewery in Belmont. Devil's Canyon partnered with the Parks and Recreation Dept. and Friends of Passion Trailbikes in this second annual outreach day to give back to the community.

The is being re-aligned to make it more accessible to familes, hikers and mountain bikers.  When complete it will be just over a mile long and cross four bridges.
