For Earth Day, Why Not Start in Your Own Backyard?

The City of Belmont is offering free document shredding, E-waste recycling and compost give-away this Saturday.

Before heading out to help clean up your local park, creek bed or highway this Earth Day, grab all those old documents and assorted dead electronics that have been cluttering your garage and bring them to a free recycling event at

This Saturday, April 21, the  will be participating in a statewide cleanup event in conjunction with Earth Day.  In addition to the cleanup (details below), the city will gladly shred your old documents, safely dispose of your electronic waste AND give you some compost for your garden.
