Chestnut Ties Own Record Eating 68 'Dogs

The Bay Area hot dog-eating champ retains crown for sixth straight year.

Once again, San Jose resident Joey "Jaws" Chestnut has trumped his competitors in an annual Fourth of July eating contest by consuming 68 hot
dogs and buns in 10 minutes, contest organizers said.

Chestnut, 28, beat the other two top eaters by a comfortable margin. Second-place finisher Tim Janus, of New York City, managed to stuff down 52 hot dogs, and Patrick Bertoletti, of Chicago, Illinois, ate 51.
