Here's what Belmont Patch user Steve Hayes had to say about today's game:
"Belmont just beat St. George Utah 13-3 - in a game that was much closer than the final score indicates. The game was close until the bottom of the fifth when Belmont scored 9 runs which ended the game because of the 10 run rule. Up until the fifth the Belmont bats and fielding looked a little sleepy - the Utah pitcher was good, but also the Belmont hitters were slow to adjust to the umpire's very wide strike zone. For Belmont the biggest hit was a single up the middle by Daylin McLemore in the bottom of the fourth that drove in two runs and seemed to re-energize the whole squad."
