Notre Dame High Athletes Honored by WCAL

Winter Sports Wrap-Up

The 2012 (NDB) basketball team qualified for the Division IV CCS (Central Coast Section) Tournament and earned a number four seed.

In their quarterfinal game, the NDB Tigers beat Sacred Heart Prep in overtime 47-43. In the semi-finals, NDB lost to number one seed Mercy San Francisco by a score of 49-30. (NDB was the 2010-2011 Division IV CCS Champion and advanced to the Norcal semi-final). 

The West Catholic Athletic League (WCAL) is one of the strongest leagues in California from top to bottom, winning many CCS Championships each year and advancing to Norcal and California state finals.

With 450 students, Notre Dame Belmont is the smallest school in the league, and uses the WCAL strength of schedule to advance to the CCS tournament.

Soccer WCAL Freshman Player of the Year:  Jessica Parque
