Neck and Shoulder Release Yoga Workshop

If you spend most of your day hunched over gazing at some screen or another, this is the workshop for you! When the neck and shoulders bear the brunt of the modern lifestyle, they suffer from tremendous strain and inflammation in the tissues. Constant tension can also manifest itself in the form of ailments which include but are not limited to headaches, pinched nerves, insomnia, and poor digestion. The good news is that you can eliminate many of these problems with small changes that make a huge difference.

In this workshop you will identify various issues that cause neck and shoulder tension, and learn how yoga can help free up and stabilize the framework that supports neck and shoulders. You will practice movements towards better alignment, mobility, and strength. The combination of information and practice will help you develop a personal tool kit to heal and prevent chronic stress in your neck and shoulders.

Note: Due to general nature of this workshop, it may not be suitable for acute injuries. Please inquire at info@prajnacenter.com if you have questions regarding if this workshop is right for you.

Manjiri Subhash has been teaching yoga for twelve years and is particularly interested in integrating yoga wisdom with modern living. She was first attracted to yoga as a chubby teenager, in order to lose weight. Over the years, not only did she lose the weight, but she also gained in its place strength, flexibility, balance, endurance, energy and immense joy. Manjiri believes that consistency is the only prerequisite for yoga, and every practice is a step forward towards personal transformation.
