BRS: 2 Wins Away From Little League World Series

[Editor's note: The following is a letter from Belmont Redwood Shores Little League Vice-President, Robert Notte.]

The BRSLL all-star team can do no wrong.  With strong pitching, timely hitting and brilliant coaching, we defeated a very strong team from So Cal, 3-2.  With the victory, we finished in 1st place; yet another huge achievement for this amazing group of 16 individuals.
 
The team plays next on Friday at 6PM.  They will face the 4th seed team from Arizona.  The winner will play Saturday at 6PM for a ticket to the LL World Series.  The other semi-final game between 2nd seed So Cal and 3rd seed Nevada will be played on Friday at 2PM.  All games will be televised on ESPN.
 
We will once again be hosting viewing parties on Friday, and if they win,Saturday, at Carlmont High School (Student Union Building) starting at5:15 PM.  We would love to see everyone join us.  In addition to televising the game, we will have food for sale (hot dogs, burgers, snacks, drinks and other items), a 50/50 raffle, silent auctions for some really cool items, T Shirts for sale and games/activities for the kids.  The Belmont Fire Department will be out to support the team by helping BBQ food for sale.  The Carlmont Varsity Baseball Coach and several players will be out to help meet kids in the audience and host games.
