Belmont Little League All-Stars Win First State Championship Game

The team's next game is Tuesday night.

The Belmont Little League 9/10 All-Star team is moving up the championship ladder.

The team won its first NorCal II game on Sunday, beating San Francisco National from Section 1, 6-2, Little League President Mike Davies said.

Belmont scored five of its six runs in the top of the 1st inning, including a three-run homerun, Davies said.

San Francisco scored its only runs in the bottom of the 6th inning.

Belmont's next game is at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday against Section 4 Champion from Roseville, Calif., at Los Cerros School in Danville.

Belmont clinched its Section 3 spot in the NorCal State Championships last week, when they Manteca with a 14-1 victory.

The Belmont team is undefeated.
