Come out and cheer on the Belmont Blaze U11 Girls soccer team today (Sunday), as they face off against the Stanford SC Flares in the CYSA championship game.

Team spokesman John Ozmert says the girls, who play in the California Youth Soccer Association league, are living up to their name, "Blaze."

"Our girls are on fire this year. Got the district cup just recently, and now going to for title CCSL Copper B," Ozmert told Patch in an email.

"We must win this game and wait the other games result. If we win and the other team, North Valley San Jose team, loses we are the champion. Our Belmont Blaze girls need big support at Sunday's game," he added.

Ozmert encourages everyone to come out to Central on Sunday and cheer on the girls:
