Belmont Families Needed to Host British Soccer Coaches

Five coaches will be in Belmont to work with AYSO teams Sept. 2-Oct. 27.

Do you have a spare room in your home you’d like to offer to a visiting soccer coach for a few weeks during soccer season?

This fall, Challenger Sports and AYSO Belmont have partnered for player and coach training, and five visiting coaches will be living in Belmont for eight weeks.

According to Lee Dunne, Challenger Sports regional director, host families are needed for the five coaches—three male and two female—for eight weeks. They will be in Belmont working with the AYSO teams from Sept. 2-Oct. 27. Dunne says that if a family can’t host for the entire eight weeks, the coaches are happy to stay with different families for a week or two at a time.

“We are looking for host families for these coaches to provide somewhere to sleep, meals through out their hosting time and access to laundry and a shower,” Dunne told Patch in an email.

Dunne says the coaches will have their own transportation, and that they will be working in the evening with AYSO and will occasionally work mornings at other locations around the Bay Area

“The coaches are all house trained, wonderful young people (aged 20-25) whose life is all about Soccer! They will provide a fantastic cultural experience and become an instant part of your family,” quipped Dunne.
