Serra High School will host its annual Open House for sixth, seventh and eighth grade students and their parents at 7 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 29.
The evening will begin with a performance by the Serra Jazz Band, followed by a short Power Point presentation. Serra students will lead guests on a tour of the school. Information will be provided on academics, extracurricular activities and athletics. The evening will conclude at 9:30 p.m. with refreshments in the gymnasium, provided by the Serra Mothers’ Auxiliary.
In addition to its outstanding college-prep curriculum, Serra is well known for its competitive athletics program - offering 15 sports that compete in the West Catholic Athletic League: football, water polo, cross country, basketball, wrestling, soccer, baseball, track and field, golf, swimming, diving, tennis, volleyball, lacrosse and crew.
The Tri-School program with Mercy and Notre Dame offers the best of both worlds. Students participate in co-ed classes, clubs, social activities and an outstanding Performing Arts program.
“The Open House on Thursday night will be a terrific opportunity for prospective students and their families to visit Serra and become more familiar with our programs,” said Serra Admissions Director Randy Vogel. “Our guests will be able to meet our students and teachers, and they'll enjoy an action-packed evening of information and fun.”
