SCCT Presents 'Beauty and The Beast' Tonight!

The classic tale of finding the beauty within, will be performed by students from throughout the district. There are three performances this weekend at Central Middle School

The San Carlos Children's Theater will perform "Beauty and The Beast" (music by Alan Menken, book by Linda Woolverton, lyrics by Howard Ashman & Tim Rice) Friday through Sunday in Mustang Hall of Central Middle School. See times and ticket info below.

From the SCCT website: The brainy and beautiful Belle yearns to escape her provincial life...and her brute of a suitor, Gaston. However, Belle gets more adventurous than she wanted when she becomes a captive in the Beast's enchanted castle! Dancing flatware, menacing wolves, and singing furniture fill the stage with thrills in Disney's BEAUTY AND THE BEAST JR., a beloved fairy tale about very different people finding strength in one another and learning how to love.

Eron Block, Artistic Director of San Carlos Children's Theater says, "SCCT's Tri-School Production brings students from across the district to provide a challenging and rewarding experience for students while showcasing the amazing talents of these young people.  This is the first Tri-School Production under our new partnership with the San Carlos School District to enhance performing arts education and opportunities for all students.  The educational skills one learns on stage -- including skills in teamwork, communication, collaboration, creativity, improvisation, problem solving, and confidence -- are an integral part of the San Carlos School District's vision for 21st Century learning, and we are proud to play a role in that!”
