Save the Music Festival Today in Twin Pines Park

Ninth annual music festival benefitting Belmont school music programs is today from 11 a.m.-5 p.m.

Live music on three stages, huge children’s center, hands-on activities and global cuisine will keep Save the Music Festival goers entertained throughout the day, while raising funds for music programs in the Belmont-Redwood Shores School District.

In addition to musical performances by elementary, middle and high school students, a highlight of this year’s festival will be a “battle of the bands” between the UC Davis and UC Berkeley marching bands. The marching bands will march through the park and will wrap up the festival with a “battle” in the Meadow.

The Festival will open at 11 a.m.; the main entrance is on Sixth Ave. near Belmont City Hall.  Ample free parking is available at the Belmont Caltrain station, Notre Dame High School, and NDNU parking lot.  Suggested donation for entrance to the Festival is $5 per adult and $2 per child.
