Readers' Choice: Belmont's Best Day Care Center

Where in Belmont do you (or have you) send your kids? Take our poll below.

What's the most important thing to a parent besides five minutes of peace and quiet? The health and safety of their child, of course.

That's why we want to know who you think has the best day care center in the area.

Tell us which place in Belmont is best for your child. (Of course, if you travel to a nearby city for day care, let us know that too---all Patch sites are participating in the poll!)

Merry Moppet

Because this poll is not scientific, it is not the sole consideration in choosing a winner. The winner will be determined by the Patch editor(s), based on poll results and reviews on Patch Places. Please vote only once per survey, per Patch.

Voting in the poll below is open until 9 a.m. Friday. Ties will be broken by whichever business has the most positive comments and reviews. We will announce the winner at noon Friday.

Just a correction- Nesbit Club Puma is for school-aged kids. Nesbit Puma Cubs is for the infant-pre-K set. A bit confusing, but both are great!

Thanks for clarifying, J Y! We will fix that ASAP.

Without a doubt, Madeleine's Day Care is the finest! I was so nervous about leaving my daughter especially since she was such a shy child; but, I had no choice other than to return to work. I knew it would be a good situation for her however, when literally from the moment Madeleine opened the door to greet us my daughter was comfortable with her...unheard of! Madeleine always(!) took excellent care of all the kids and made sure the parents were given personalized daily updates. I suppose all of Madeleine's experience is a great foundation for her daycare but her very warm and nurturing ways work wonders not only with the children but with the parents as well. Madeleine's Day Care is the best!!!

Bob Cancilla Is there a reason that Merry Moppets, located on Carlmont Drive, was not included in the above listed day care centers?

Bob Cancilla Joan, thanks for adding Merry Moppet to the Day Center list. I know several friends that have children entrolled there, it is a great place for children.

Thanks Bob for pointing that out. The only reason Merry Moppet wasn't included originally is because it is categorized on some lists as a pre-school. On closer look, we realized it does cater to the younger kids as well.

Just for clarification, Carlmont Parents Nursery School is not a "day care", it is a Parent participation, play based Co-op, which is very different. I believe all other choices on your list are drop-off preschools or day cares...so not really a true comparision!

Thank you to Patch user Don for pointing out that in Belmont, Immaculate Heart of Mary School began offering day care one year ago. My apologies for not including it on our list. For more information on IHM day care, go to http://belmont-ca.patch.com/listings/immaculate-heart-of-mary-school-5
