This year's Carlmont Boys Varsity Basketball team has a lot going for them.

They're playing ball at a high level and sport a winning record. One thing that stands out for me is the camaraderie that exudes from the team as a whole.

They are a group of young men who genuinely enjoy playing together AND hanging out with each other off the court.

One usually finds a fractured team once the final whistle has been blown. Not this version of the Scots. I know that for a fact....my house is sometimes inhabited by a number of these boys before and after practices and/or games.

I also know that I am not alone with this assessment.  At every game, home or away, you will find parents, grandparents, relatives, and friends rooting the team on.

Win or lose, we should all be proud of these young men representing Carlmont High School.  Not only do they work hard and succeed on the hardwood, they are well on their way to being successful young men in society.
