This past year, Quiery Sexton took on a new assignment as the transitional kindergarten (TK) teacher at Nesbit.  Transitional kindergarten is the new grade level that California created for children who just missed the age cutoff for kindergarten and helps prepare younger children for the rigors of kindergarten.

Of Quiery Sexton’s work Superintendent Campbell said, “Ms. Quiery Sexton’s passion and energy for teaching are remarkable.  That she jumped at the opportunity to teach in the new TK program this past year is a testament to her commitment to what’s best for kids.  She has drawn on her vast experience to create a rich and nurturing environment in which our youngest learners can thrive.”
