All Power to the Imagination: A Review of Surrealism and Its Connections to Oceanic Art

This docent presentation will review Surrealism and the major players in the movement, in honor of the exhibit, Partners in Surrealism, taking place at the Legion of Honor, July 14 to October 14. The program will highlight the museum's collection of Surrealist artists, including Tanguy, Donati, Matta and Miro. It will explore the connections with Oceanic art, which served as an inspiration to these artists.
