The board voted 4-0 Thursday night to eliminate boundaries to curb the district's capacity problem.

After hours of discussion, the Board of Trustees voted 4-0 Thursday night to eliminate Belmont elementary school boundaries in an effort to curb the district's capacity problem.

Board member Brian Matthews made the motion for the "district optimized assignment process and eliminate the boundaries throughout the district effective in 2012."

Board President Andy Stulbarg and board members Cathy Wright and Robert Tashjian also voted in its favor. Board member Chuck Velschow did not vote due to a conflict of interest.
