Author Event at NDNU

NDNU alumnus will discuss his book, "Blind: A Memoir" on Oct. 12

Two years after he lost his sight following a brutal assault at the age of 24, Belo Miguel Cipriani began the arduous effort of relearning how to walk, dress, cook and read.

Cipriani, a Notre Dame de Namur University (NDNU) alumnus, chronicles his adjustment to blindness in a new book, “Blind: A Memoir.” The author will be at the NDNU library on Wednesday, Oct. 12 at 4 p.m. to discuss his book.

The autobiographical account tells of the two years after Cipriani lost his sight, and his unsuccessful attempts to restore it through medical treatments. At age of 26, he had to learn how to walk, dress, cook and read---all over again.
