Over 200 local kids and parents flocked to the Belmont Library Thursday night to see "Ivy & Bean" author Annie Barrows, for a special author evening to celebrate School-Force's Reading Power Read-a-thon!

Barrows delighted her audience by reading from Book 9 of the "Ivy & Bean" series, "Ivy & Bean Make the Rules", and later charmed them with tales of mischief and whimsy - her own, and those of her characters!  Barrows also shared the Ivy & Bean Museum, a collection of items straight out of Ivy and Bean's many adventures, playfully testing her readers' memories and Ivy & Bean scholarship.
