The World Championship Trophy tour will stop in San Mateo this month, featuring both the 2010 and 2012 trophies.

Editor's Note: The following article was submitted to San Mateo Patch by the city of San Mateo. To submit an article for publication, please e-mail laura.dudnick@patch.com.

The World Championship Trophy tour will stop in San Mateo on Thursday, March 21 at San Mateo City Hall.

This tour will feature both the 2012 and 2010 trophies. The public viewing will be held from 1:00-3:00 p.m. The trophies will leave promptly at 3:00 p.m.

The trophies are only coming to communities with a Junior Giants Baseball League, and San Mateo is one of them! The City of San Mateo was selected as a trophy stop because the San Mateo Police Activities League hosts a Junior Giants League.

The focus of the SF World Championship Tour is to share the trophies with Giants fans in Junior Giants communities throughout Northern California.

Fans will have the chance to have their photo taken with the trophies while supporting their local Junior Giants Baseball League through a donation to San Mateo PAL.
