Public Works to Install Storm Line on Carmelita Ave.

The new storm water line installation begins Monday and is expected to be finished on Friday, June 10.

The Belmont Public Works Storm Division will install 300 feet of new storm line on Carmelita Avenue from Cipriani Boulevard to Palmer Avenue this week beginning Monday.

The new line will eliminate the storm water bubble up at that location. The bubble up serves as a catch basin with no connected outflow pipe, causing water to typically settle without dissipating around the basin, public works officials said.

The new storm line will allow the flow of storm water to continue underground.
