Obama Arrives a Day Early
The president, who touched down at SFO Sunday evening, was originally scheduled to arrive on Monday. He heads to Reno, NV for a campaign event Monday morning, then back to events in Oakland and Piedmont.
President Barack Obama touched down in San Francisco Sunday evening for a brief fundraising visit, following a stop in Colorado to mourn the victims of a mass movie theater shooting that left 12 dead Friday.
President Obama, who was originally scheduled to arrive in the Bay Area on Monday, arrived at San Francisco International Airport at 8:15 p.m. Sunday. His campaign schedule changed to accommodate a visit today in Aurora, Colo., to speak at a vigil for victims of a fatal shooting there during a midnight screening of the film "The Dark Knight Rises" Friday.
The president will then head to Reno, Nev., Monday morning from SFO around 11:25 a.m. for a fundraising event before returning to the Bay Area, according to the White House Press Office.

He is scheduled to arrive at Oakland International Airport around 3 p.m. Monday, according to the executive press office.
As part of his Bay Area schedule, the president will speak at an event at Oakland's Fox Theater and later visit a private home in Piedmont. Tuesday morning around 10 a.m. Obama will leave from San Francisco International Airport to head to Portland, Ore., to continue his campaigning for re-election this November.

Presumptive Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney was in the Bay Area Sunday, attending three fundraisers. Romney attended a private lunch in Woodside, followed by a reception at San Francisco's Fairmont Hotel and a dinner at a home in Pacific Heights.
