It's Election Day; Polls Open Until 8:00 p.m.

Election officials report the stream of voters is consistent, but there is no waiting at the polls. Here's a list of polling places in Belmont.

The final postcards have been mailed, the yard signs are on their last legs, and the recorded campaign voicemails will soon cease. Election Day is here and all the campaigning that's going to be done is done.

Now it's the voters' turn to let their voices be heard. And for those of you who are new to the voting process, or just can't remember where your polling place is, Patch has done a bit of homework for you.

The polls are open from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. today. If you still have your sample ballot, your polling place is printed on the back. Or, you can go to the San Mateo County Elections Office website at  www.shapethefuture.org for a complete voting guide and to find your polling place. Always double-check the location--sometimes the locations change.
