Feierbach, Warden Not Seeking Re-Election

The deadline for non-incumbents to file candidacy papers is Wednesday, Aug. 14 at 5:00 p.m.

Two veteran Belmont city councilmembers have chosen not to seek re-election in November.

As of close-of-business Aug. 9, neither Coralin Feierbach nor Dave Warden filed nomination papers. Friday was the the filing deadline for incumbents.

Incumbent councilmember Warren Lieberman has filed as a qualified candidate, indicating his intent to seek re-election on Tuesday, Nov. 5.

There are three contested seats, each for four-year terms. By Feierbach and Warden vacating their seats, at least two newcomers will inevitably join the council in November.

Because Feierbach and Warden are not running, the nomination period is extended to 5:00 p.m. Wednesday, August 14, for any non-incumbents who have not yet filed.
