City Seeks Broker to Sell Bishop Road Parcels

A Request for Proposal was issued last week to find a broker to help the city market the eight-acre property.

As the City of Belmont moves forward with the sale of parcels of San Juan Canyon, city officials are seeking a qualified real estate broker to handle the sale of parcels on Bishop Road.

According to the city manager Greg Scoles's Weely Update, the goals for the sale of the Bishop Road Property center on maximizing open space within the eight-acre property. In addition to maintaining open space, the city hopes to recoup the approximate $1.5 million debt on the properties, provide pedestrian and fire vehicle access, and limit development to a maximum of three single family residential parcels clustered in the upper two acres near the Bishop Road frontage.

A Request for Proposal (RFP) was issued last week by the city, inviting real estate brokers to make a proposal for marketing the Bishop Road properties.  Proposals must be submitted by April 22, and the RFP can be obtained by clicking on "Bid Openings/RFPs" on the city’s website.
