Caltrain Seeking San Mateo County Rep. for Bicycle Advisory Committee

Are you a Belmont bicycle advocate who's interested in representing San Mateo County on a local committee?

Caltrain is accepting applications through Monday, June 13 for its Bicycle Advisory Committee. Applicants must be a San Mateo County resident and a Caltrain bike passenger from the general public.

Members of the Bicycle Advisory Committee provide the liaison between Caltrain and riders who typically bike to Caltrain stations.

The committee is made up of three representatives from San Francisco, San Mateo and Santa Clara counties for a total of nine volunteer members.

One member from each county is a public agency staff member, one is a representative of a bicycle advocacy organization and one is a Caltrain bike passenger from the general public.

Applications are due Monday, June 13.

The committee meets every other month on the third Thursday at 6:45 p.m. in San Carlos, one block from the San Carlos Caltrain Station. All meetings are open to the public.
