Brad Lewis Appointed Interim San Carlos Council Member
Lewis has previously served as the mayor of San Carlos.
The San Carlos City Council voted Monday to appoint former mayor Brad Lewis to fill a council seat that was left empty in May when Mayor Omar Ahmad died suddenly of a heart attack.
Lewis, a movie producer and writer at Emeryville-based Pixar Animation Studios, was unanimously appointed as interim councilman from a pool of 11 candidates who applied to serve out the remaining six months of Ahmad's term.
Lewis served on the San Carlos City Council from 2005 to 2009, and was mayor in 2007.

Lewis will be sworn in at the next City Council meeting on June 13, when the five members are expected to select a mayor.
