Belmont Bike Bridge to Open Saturday

The public is invited to attend the ribbon cutting ceremony beginning at 9:30 a.m. at the Belmont Sports Complex.

After , the Belmont Pedestrian/Bicycle Bridge will finally connect the west side of Belmont to the east side, from Hiller Street and Ralston Avenue to the Belmont Sports Complex ball fields on Saturday morning.

The ribbon cutting will take place at the east entrance of the bridge, located at the Belmont Sports Complex on Island Parkway.

With one snip of the ribbon, Mayor Coralin Feierbach will officially open the bridge that crosses over the O'Neill Slough and US 101 900 feet north of Ralston Avenue.

This is the only dedicated bicycle and pedestrian crossing of US 101 between Third Avenue in San Mateo and Woodside Road in Redwood City.
