The Parks and Recreation Department has provided the following information to update residents on the status of the pedestrian and bicycle bridge across U.S. Highway 101 in Belmont.
The bridge is slated to be finished in June.
This month, construction has entailed:
- Setting falsework for frame #2 crossing the freeway.
- Installing masonry wall along the north ramp.
- Landscaping around the slough bridge.
- Waterproofing the masonry wall at south ramp.
The bridge will ultimately connect the west side of Belmont to the east side, from Hiller Street and Ralston Avenue to the Belmont Sports Complex ball fields.
