Belmont Names Appointment to City Council, Moves Regular Meeting Times Up

The following is a news release from the city of Belmont:

At the Council Meeting on April 8, the Belmont City Council appointed Cathy Wright to fill a vacant Council seat which has a term ending in November 2015. This seat became vacant with the resignation of Christine Wozniak in February. The City Council advertised the opening and received 12 applications to serve the remainder of this term.

Mrs. Wright has considerable experience in serving the Belmont Community. She was elected trustee to the Belmont Redwood Shores School District in 2003 and served two four year terms. She has a proven track record in community involvement. Her tenure as Trustee on the BRSSD Board gives her the ability to understand the dynamics of a governing board.
