Officers from the Belmont Police Department responded to a report of a disturbance at the Motel 6 located at 1101 Shoreway Rd. in Belmont early Friday morning.
A woman who had been staying at the motel told police she had been assaulted by two male acquaintances who then left the area with some of her property.
Police have not released the identities of the men because detectives are actively working on the investigation.
