Woman Arrested in Mutliple-City Burglaries to Stand Trial

Case involved four police departments.

A woman who led police on a high-speed chase that ended with her car dangling 10 feet off the ground will stand trial for dealing in stolen property and felony reckless evasion of a peace officer.

After hearing from three prosecution witnesses in a preliminary hearing yesterday, a San Mateo County Superior Court judge ruled there was ample evidence to try Danielle Renee (Gonzalez) Lateur, 20, on the charges.

On May 10, police spotted car matching the description of one at the scene of a Hillsdale-area auto burglary driving away from the scene, a prosecution report says. Lateur, the alleged driver, fled from officers, eventually crashing into a tree, then into a house on Bayview Drive, the car wedging between two driveways 10 feet in the air.
