Teenagers Arrested for Vehicle Break-Ins
The teens were in possession of several items that had been reports stolen out of Belmont vehicles.
Two teenagers who were arrested in San Carlos Tuesday morning are
suspected of committing several vehicle break-ins in Belmont and Fremont,
according to the San Mateo County Sheriff's Office.
Deputies initially pulled over a car for having broken brake lights at the intersection of Arroyo Avenue and Elm Street at about 10 a.m. Tuesday according to the sheriff's office.
The driver -- later identified as 18-year-old Marcos Patino, of Fremont -- was allegedly driving with a suspended license.

Further investigation revealed that Patino and his passenger -- a 16-year-old boy from Fremont -- were in possession of several items that had been reported stolen out of vehicles in Belmont and Fremont, according to the
sheriff's office.
Burglary tools were also found in the vehicle, the sheriff's office said.

Patino was arrested for burglary, conspiracy, possession of stolen property, possession of burglary tools and driving on a suspended license. He was booked into the San Mateo County jail.
The 16-year-old was arrested for burglary, conspiracy, and possession of stolen property. He was booked into the San Mateo County Youth Services Center.
