Sheriff's Deputies Warn of Nearby Auto Burglaries

The Highlands neighborhood in San Mateo has had multiple overnight auto burglaries.

The San Mateo County Sheriff's Office is warning residents of a rash of auto burglaries in the San Mateo Highlands neighborhood, which is located off Polheums Road just west of Belmont.

Last night, vehicles on Bel Aire and Enchanted way were broken into.

Authorities are reminding residents to lock their vehicles and not leave valuables in the vehicle. To report any suspicious people or vehicles, call the sheriff's office at 650-363-4911, or, in Belmont, call the Belmont Police Department at 650-595-7400.
