A home in San Carlos was burglarized Wednesday while the residents
were away on vacation, and investigators believe the thief got in through the
The burglary happened sometime between 8 a.m. and 6 p.m. in the
100 block of Ruby Avenue in the White Oaks neighborhood, according to the San
Mateo County Sheriff's Office.
A neighbor called the sheriff's office at about 8 p.m. to report
the crime. The house had been ransacked and the thief had used a key found
inside the home to steal a black BMW 525i that was parked in the driveway,
sheriff's officials said.
