Rain Postpones Highway 101 Closure

Tuesday night's closure of Hwy 101 between Hillsdale Blvd. & Ralston Ave. for work on the bike bridge has been postponed one day.

The of southbound U.S. Highway 101 in Belmont for bike bridge work has been postponed a night due to the rainy weather.

Instead of shutting down the highway Tuesday night/Wednesday morning, the southbound lanes between Hillsdale Boulevard and Ralston Avenue will be closed from 1 a.m. to 4:30 a.m. Thursday.

To detour, drivers should go west on Hillsdale Boulevard to El Camino Real, then south on El Camino Real to Ralston Avenue and east on Ralston Avenue back to the highway.

The closure will allow crews to work on Belmont's new pedestrian/bike bridge.
