Police Seek Suspects in Gas Station Armed Robbery

The robbery occurred early Sunday morning at the Belmont 76 station; the suspects knocked the station attendant to the ground.

 

Two suspects assaulted a gas station employee and stole an undetermined amount of cash early Sunday morning from the at the corner of Ralston Avenue and Old County Road.

According to a spokesman for the , the gas station's night attendant was coming back into the building at approximately 2:10 a.m. Sunday after doing some maintenance work. As he entered the building, he was struck from behind and knocked to the ground.

The attendant then saw two suspects, one armed with a handgun, who ordered him to open the cash register. The suspects took an undetermined amount of cash and fled.  Police say that the suspects' vehicle was not seen or heard. The employee received minor, non life threatening injuries.

Police have released this information on the suspects:

Suspect #1
Pacific Islander male, 20-30 years old, approximately 6' tall, 200 pounds with a muscular build.  He was wearing a black hooded sweatshirt and a ski mask.  This suspect was armed with an unknown handgun.

Suspect #2
Hispanic male, 20’s, approximately 5' 7” tall, 170 pound with a medium build.  He was wearing an unknown color sweatshirt with gray sweatpants and a ski mask.
