7:56 a.m. - Mountain Lion Sighting - Occurred on Sugarloaf Hill. A Belmont woman reported seeing a . "The animal was large and golden brown in color -- very beautiful," she said.

9:27 a.m. - Theft - Occurred on Yosemite Drive. Someone reported jewelry had been stolen from their home.

7:41 a.m. - Noise Complaint - Occurred on Kedith Street. A carpet cleaner is just too loud for some people; police were called to investigate the noisy machine 11 minutes after one was turned on.

9:45 a.m. - City Ordinance Violation - Occurred on St. James Road. Five women with five large Golden Retrievers playing nearby were spotted in an area of Belmont that doesn't allow dogs off their leashes.

9:06 a.m. - Hazardous Situation - Occurred at the intersection of Ralston Avenue and Cipriani Boulevard. Someone reported a group of bicyclists were riding dangerously too far out on Ralston Avenue in the way of vehicle traffic.

2:59 p.m. - Animal Call - Occurred in the 100 block of Miramar Terrace. A person reported possibly seeing a young coyote in the area.
