One Person Killed in San Bruno on Sunday Night

A 24-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the homicide.

Police in San Bruno are investigating a homicide that occurred in the city Sunday night.

Officers responded to a report of an unresponsive male lying on the ground about 10:25 p.m. in the 400 block of Cypress Avenue, San Bruno police Cmdr. Noreen Hanlon said.

The victim, whose name has not been released, appeared to have suffered traumatic injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police said 24-year-old San Bruno resident Nicholas Vargas was arrested in connection with the murder and booked into San Mateo County Jail.

Police did not release information regarding a possible motive, citing an ongoing investigation.
