Newspaper Delivery Person Spots Mountain Lion in Woodside

The animal was seen at about 4:30 a.m. today.

A newspaper delivery person reportedly saw a mountain lion in Woodside early this morning.

The carnivorous cat was spotted just after 4:30 a.m. in the 100 block of Marva Oaks Drive, San Mateo County emergency officials said.

Sheriff's deputies responded but were unable to locate the animal.

Residents are advised to not approach mountain lions, and instead try to appear as large and noisy as possible. The California Department of Fish and Game also warns to avoid jogging at dawn, dusk or at night when mountain lions are most active.

I saw a dog without a leash walking near a school the other day. I didn't call the authorities or anyone else for that matter. Animals share the planet with us and as a matter of fact seem to take better care of it than we do. Goodbye.
