New Chief Takes the Oath
Chief Dan DeSmidt and three other members of the Belmont Police Department were sworn in Tuesday night.
It's official...is now Chief Dan DeSmidt following the swearing in ceremony for the new chief and three other Belmont police officers at Tuesday night's city council meeting.
In addition to the new chief, three other members of the Belmont Police Department took the oath of office administered by City Clerk Terri Cook:
- Lieutenant Tony Psaila
- Sergeant Troy Adams
- Officer Brian Vogel
was announced last month; he replaces who had served as chief since 2004.
