Neighbor's 911 Call Helps Police Nab Prowlers on Alomar Way

"The neighbor did exactly the right thing, they saw suspicious activity and immediately called 9- 1-1," said Police Chief Dan DeSmidt.

Belmont police say a neighbor’s timely call to 9-1-1 resulted in the arrest of two suspects for prowling yesterday in Belmont.

According to Belmont Police Department spokesperson Captain Patrick Halleran, on Thursday at about 11 a.m.,  a resident in the 1100 block of Alomar Way saw two men walking into the backyard of a neighbor’s home. The resident did not recognize the men and immediately called 9-1-1.

Belmont police units responded to the call and found two suspects, Jeremy Rice, age 25 of Los Banos and Andrew Stafford, age 26 of San Jose, in the backyard.
