Mountain Lion Spotted in San Carlos

The animal was seen at about 2 p.m. Monday.

A mountain lion was seen in San Carlos on Monday afternoon, police said.

The carnivorous cat was spotted at about 2 p.m. in the 100 block of Exeter Avenue, according to the San Mateo County Sheriff's Office.

Mountain lions reside in more than half of California, and generally live wherever deer exist, including Belmont.
