Man Killed in Crash Involving Big-Rig on Hwy 92
The fatal crash occurred at about 2:15 p.m. today.
A 68-year-old Redwood City man was killed this afternoon in a crash involving a big-rig on state Highway 92 in San Mateo County, a California Highway Patrol officer said.
Units responded to Highway 92 just east of Skylawn Memorial Park cemetery where a white Chevrolet Blazer and a big-rig crashed at about 2:15 p.m., CHP Officer Art Montiel said.
The victim, who was alone in the Blazer, was driving east when his car drifted into westbound traffic and struck the big-rig, Montiel said.

The man died before he could be airlifted to a hospital.
Traffic in both directions was blocked for more than an hour. A Sig-alert was issued at 2:27 p.m. and canceled at 3:42 p.m. when the roadway was cleared.

The crash remains under investigation.
